The high bright peripheral lighting around the operating field prevents adaptation problems during surgery. The Hospital luminaires are designed to avoid reflections (glare free luminaire) and to meet th general requirements recommended in Din 5035.

Astra Hospital luminaires have been specially created to facilitate the cleaning process (rated IP 65), in particular to resist chmical attacks from cleaning agent and disinfectant.
